No one understands the significance of this mug to me.
When I first started my job at HBS in Middlesbrough, I was scared that I wouldn't fit in.
I found it really hard to speak to the people I worked with, and to be honest, wanted to leave before I'd properly started there. It was my first job, and I didn't know what to expect.

I didn't really have anyone to speak to at the time, and sort of confided in my ex girlfriend. She wanted to give me something that would make me smile whilst at work. Something that would make the days go quicker. And it worked.
Just having the mug there, with the stupid little coaster for it, always made me smile.
That day was nearly 8 years ago now... and I still have the mug, and the coaster.
