I managed to get myself a 3 year driving ban many moons ago.. Stupidly managed to get a license and lose it within a year.
I don't by regrets at all, but i can only imagine that my insurance would be cheaper if I didn't get banned!
I've always loved the look of the mk3 Ibizas, something nice and subtle about the shape. At the time, they weren't a very common car in the area, and not many people truly knew the capabilities of these, and then 1.8 20vt engine.
Today though, is a very different story, these cars go so cheap, and a half decent one on high miles can be picked up for around £1000-£1500! Making them a cheap, fast hatchback. With simple mods, these can push around 240bhp, in something that doesnt weight much, makes for a lot of fun!

I remember the drive down to Manchester to collect mine. The excitement, knowing that my first car after being banned is going to be a 200bhp Ibiza! The car i've always wanted. It was owned by a salesman for APR, so it had a full SEAT/APR service history, a Milltek exhaust and a remap. It was in good condition, and in my favourite colour.
To cut a long story short, I made the car my own, limited edition blue/leather interior, boost gauge, filter, intercooler, coilovers and other various bits. It was a lovely example and a car that to this very day, I miss so much! I had to get rid though.. it was costing me £10 a day, to do a 60 mile trip. Fuel prices forced the sale of my loved car.
Apparently this is now stripped out, with a fully forged engine in it. IHI Turbo and a cage.. Should go pretty well then!
