Well, the Megane lasted me just shy of 6 months before I decided to sell her on! I realised that speed maybe wasn't for me. I wanted low and slow again, so thats was I decided to do!
After much thinking, I decided to purchase a Mini Cooper, R50 shape. Silver, panoramic roof, 81k and 5 spoke alloys.
I have already bought some new wheels, KW Turbos, coilovers, steering wheel and some other little bits and bobs!
My main thinking was to buy this, and save more for America, but it has sort of gone the opposite way... As Ive spent upwards of 1k already! wheels tyres and spacers comes to £740 alone. steering wheel was $225, boss kit, £60, and various other bits I've bought.
Anyway, saving is still happening though, but just very slowly. Not really that long left and I still dont have a passport!

Firstly, Happy New Year! I hope everyone enjoyed the festive period, got drunk and spent time with family and friends.
Now that is out of the way, its time to do a quick write up of changes Ive made to the Megane recently.
I had a custom rear upper strut brace designed and made for me. This is a one off, and is currently waiting for paint. It will be going inferno orange next month, when the body shop has the time to get it done.
I have bolted it in place, and I'm sure it will help to stiffen up the rear end slightly.
The full centre console and clock cover is away getting flocked, and probably wont be able for another 3 weeks due to the flocker being busy. It'll be worth it in the end, and for the price.. I cant complain! NE Flock on Facebook if anyone is interested!
Next plans are a remap at the end of the month, and some more Forge goodies :)

Well, I just wanted to write a bit about my past month or so. It has been filled with a lot of ups and downs, and a lot of emotions if Im honest.
I have took a step back from a lot of things, and looked at my life from a different perspective, and come to realise, that trust is becoming very hard to find in people. Trust and honesty go hand in hand in friendship, and relationships. without both, it wont work in my opinion.
Both these are needed for people to enjoy life, and each other.
I have been let down massively, and hurt by someone who I thought would never do that, and its made me realise that no matter how old you are, what your circumstances are, people can still make you look like a fool, and really mess with your head and heart.
I was always under the impression that the older you became, the more life experiences you had, and the more respect, honesty and trust you should have in people. I was wrong, and proved that even people older then me can treat you extremely badly, and have zero care for your feelings.

This has made thing very difficult for me in many ways. How can someone come into your life, make you feel so happy, show you a side to them which makes you feel comfortable, and then... let it all go? I cant understand how over night someone can change their mind and forget anything ever happened.

The other thing is, how can I move on from this. What have i learnt, and how will this all affect my future. Well, I can safely say that all my feelings and emotions are gonna be hidden away behind a massive wall from now on! That goes without saying. I will not allow anyone past that wall until I can reach a certain level of trust with them.
I'm seriously sick of being treated like an idiot, and I always come out with the messed up feelings!

Is happiness seriously that hard to find?

Well, haven't updated this for a very long time, so thought I may as well get on here and explain a lot of changes that have been happening in my life.
Firstly, I went to Edition38, and wow, it never fails to amaze me how great that show is! Enjoyed every second of it, and also managed to get the cabby how I wanted it before I went. It seemed to get liked, and only got slightly abused by a bunch of southerners. Which is good.
I wanted to change things a bit, and wanted something different, something with a bit of power, so i decided to sell up and get a cheap, fastish car. I went back french!

I currently have massive plans for this car, and Im hoping that I can pull most of them off before Edition38 this year!
I have my full interior currently in bits, and I'm rushing around trying to get everything finished!
Here is a current breatkdown of the situation..
The centre console is currently getting worked on, smoothed and modified by MA Autos, and then painted gloss black.
The gear/handbrake gaiters are getting redone using gold cloth.
The rear doorcards are out, to get clothed using the gold fabric too.
The rear seats are out, as I want to get priced up for a rear cage.

The work is getting done, it just takes time and money! waiting for these bits, then I can get the steering wheel bought, plus the boss kit.
I feel that the car is coming together, but very slowly.
I have a lot more ideas but I'll have to see what I can get done.

The boot is now finished, the battery is in there, with an amp, and the sub is in the suitcase. I'm really happy with the progress I've made so far!

Well I thought it was about time to officially introduce my car.. But first, a quick look back into how I got here.
I won a Clio 172 on ebay not too long ago. Managed to get it for £1295, which i thought was an alright price! Had all the belts and dephaser pulley done to it.
I loved driving it, but I never got attached to the car, and never felt that it truly got under my skin as such.
It was great to drive, and I finally experience 'safe' lift off over steer, without crashing!
I Just never felt that I was getting my moneys worth out of it.. it was slower then I was hoping for a 2.0 16v engine, in a 1200kg car.
So i felt it had to go up for sale. This is where the cabby comes in..

I just wanted to put a quick update about my life on here..

A lot has happened, good and bad in the first 6 months of this year.
I'm happier now then I have been for a long time though, which is massive for me!
Money situation is getting sorted, slowly but surely, and I will be debt free! Well.. until I take the plunge into the mortgage situation..

I've learnt now to slow things down, live a little whilst paying off my debt, as I also need to enjoy life before it passes me by!
I'm now watching what I eat, controlling my weight, and exercising more now. I'm smiling, laughing, and simply enjoying everything that life throws at me!
I'm getting out more, with the roof down, enjoying the weather at the moment.
I still hate being alone, and thats one thing which does get to me..

Well the time has come for me to leave the VAG scene for good!
Which I'm actually quite glad about. Dont get me wrong.. I love the cars, and the style, and many of my friends, I've met through the scene.
But there are so many bad points to it. The judgement you get for trying to be creative and expressing yourself through your car is crazy.
If you dont stick to what the scene expect of you, then you may as well jump off a bridge.
Cant be bothered with that now, so I'd rather get a fun little car to drive, a B road car.
I'm currently bidding on a little Clio 172 in flame red. I'm actually really hoping I win! The price is right for the age, and the mileage is very low! a genuine 68k, all belts have been done, with receipted to prove.
Fingers crossed that I win, in approx 2 hours!!

Players show can only be described as one of the best UK one day shows. With it being classed as a Premium Automotive Car Show, it opened the flood gates to all types of cars. This allowed for a massive selection of cars, most of them done to an amazing high quality!
With it being the last major show of the season, I was expecting all cars to be finished and looking their best.
I felt in some cases that cars fell short of this, especially the top cars that were in the hangers.
Some of them just didn't seem up to the high standard level of others.

Well.. after a long hard thing, I've come to the conclusion that the best bet is to strip the Audi for parts! So thats exactly what I've done.
I spent the full weekend getting the car down to a bare shell, ready to be weighed in.
The only things left were the windows, wiring and some daft little things which weren't worth much money.
The shell has now gone and the garage is full of Audi parts. Now its time to try and sell it all. Thats the fun bit!
So far, I've made a fair bit of money back on it, I've managed to sell quite alot of big parts, which has got me enough money back to pay off my overdraft and credit card! Which I'm pretty happy about to be honest.
